Yesterday was Memorial Day here. Usualy it’s a family thing, BBQ etc…
In Detroit it was all about heavy beats and dance moves.
Tiga, Ellen Allien, Audion, Derrick May, Benny Bennassi, Flying Lotus and Carl Craig all together for
a huge party in the streets of Detroit. Me, I played when the sun went down, magic. Thanx to the cool cats of Michigan who came to that Red Bull stage.
Went back to the Marriott and watched Jimmy Fallon’s TV show, where the Beastie Boys rocked it
with the Roots.

Back in 1992, the whole parisian Rave kids were listening to RAVE UP on rafio FG 98.2
Patrick Rognant was the voice of our week-ends. He was spreading the words, telling us
where to catch the shuttle and who will be the DJs. I am in Detroit, i’m remembering
his deep voice.

I am now in DETROIT to perform at MOVEMENT.
Yesterday i spent the whole day walking around the 4 different stages.
Blown away by RJD2 and Z-TRIP, kicked in the face by OCTAVE ONE,
and smashed by DENIS FERRER house set. I arrived at the end of the Dance Mania mob set, just had the time to cacth DJ DEEON last tracks.
Today is the last day of the festival, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Afrika Bambaataa, Audion, Tiga and Flying Lotus on the decks, should not be a bad day…
ah also, what’s wrong with all those furry fluo ugly boots ????
